    Iowa City Fire Chief: Fire Chief John Grier has retired after 29 years with the department. The public is invited to come and meet the three finalists for his replacement at a public reception this week.

    Night of 1000 Dinners: Celebrate International Women’s Day with a virtual evening of music, dance, and spoken-word performances. This event is hosted by the Johnson County United Nations Association.

    Black History Month: In honor of Black History Month, the City will host several virtual and in-person events for all ages during the month of February.

    Behind the Badge: Learn about this four week course hosted by local law enforcement, including the Iowa City Police Department, for an inside look at how the agencies operate.
